PSYCHO-PASS: Mandatory Happiness Download] [serial Number]

About This Game In the new future, everyone's mental state and disposition can now be quantified. Everything from emotional tendencies to criminal behavior are recorded and utilized as a guideline to lead everyone to the good life: not only pursuing happiness, but attaining it. Needless to say, the public was excited to begin quantifying their everyday lives. The general term for this value, which determines the morality of an individual's heart and soul, is commonly known as the Psycho-Pass. One component of this value is the Crime Coefficient, which is ultimately a number that represents an individual's potential to commit crime. In order to combat those who attempt to disrupt the status quo, detectives work in tandem to maintain peace and order, composed of Enforcers and Inspectors. The former is tasked with apprehending suspects, while the latter oversees and commands their subordinate colleagues. After all, Enforcers possess high Crime Coefficients. However, because of their criminal nature, they can better understand what makes other criminals tick, allowing them to sniff out suspects and arrest the true perpetrators. But because of their criminal background, Inspectors are needed to provide a calm and sound judgement to each case. Ultimately, all members of the MWPSB have to walk a fine line, maintaining their own mental health while facing the worst that society has to offer. With justice in their hearts, the detectives of Division 1 tackle each case, confronting humanity's ugly truths. But, what lies ahead? 7aa9394dea Title: PSYCHO-PASS: Mandatory HappinessGenre: AdventureDeveloper:MAGES. Inc., 5pb.Publisher:NIS America, Inc.Release Date: 24 Apr, 2017 PSYCHO-PASS: Mandatory Happiness Download] [serial Number] Hmm... an unusual game based on an unusual anime.. As a huge fan of the Psycho Pass series, this has been fun. Though to be honest I've been spending most of my time playing the silly little mini game instead of the actual story. XD. Let me start by saying that I do understand that you can get different endings simply by loading one save and selecting an option, but, in my opinion, that's boring, why not just replay it?Okay. I'd definitely recommend this. Even for those who haven't seen Psycho Pass itself. This is because most things newcomers wouldn't understand can be explained in game, and for fans it expands the universe. The story is great, I enjoyed it, and while it's not excellent or on par with the actual series (hey, we still get some Makashima in the game), it's still a great enough story that I liked it and will replay it.Another thing I like is the little bonus mini-game (this was my first time playing anything like it, and I enjoyed it) so, if you just want to waste time, this has that little bonus too.The locations, sounds and music feel very Psycho-Pass-y in a way that doesn't make it feel as though it were extracted from the series, but more like it's a unique blend that creates another part of the universe. All in all, I definitely do recommend if you're a fan of Psycho-Pass, or if you're a newcomer to the universe and want a game to play that's got a good story. And the Art Book is great, the price is just right for it and it even has some comments from the VAs involved at the end too, which I liked reading over because it shows how much they liked psycho pass.. In my humble opinion Psycho-Pass series are valued for their coherent and elaborated plot (by the anime standards).Unfortunately, I can't say that this VN introduces anything new to the whole story or that it even succeeds in maintaining the quality of the anime. On the contrary, the scenario tramples over integrity of the narrative and wedges in characters' development. Although this game has some nice art and an awesome voice-over, I cannot bring myself to recommend it. It's hard to describe the shortcomings of a visual novel in a spoiler-free fashion, so...The game takes place somewhen in the middle of the first anime season: all characters are still alive but they are already acquainted with each other. This fact alone harms the original story because it cuts off all participants' previous experiences and does not lead to any of their following decisions. Both incarnations of the player, Akane, Inspector Ginoza, and the whole merry team of Enforcers accompanied by the sexy analyst are placed into some kind of narrative vacuum. Nothing they do matters anymore. While original anime played around with a multilayer idea of system/rejects conflict, going from the obvious statement “society that blindly dissmisses individuals is bounding itself to stagnation and leads the rejected ones to unbearable loneliness”, then quite naturally it moves to more complicated thesis that “a person not being acknowledged by society but still acting within its bounds constantly decreases legitimacy of society’s institutes”, and finally closes the cycle by stating that “this society, that by rejecting individuals is constantly failing at acknowledging its own flaws, is meant to rot and finally fall under its own weight being destroyed both by the governing top and the rejected bottom ”.Not much, but I guess it can be counted as a valid flow for a simple dystopia. And what do we meet in this VN? Automatic secretary AI is going to play Warhammer 40k at the streets of a provincial settlement, only because he was left by its creator “mother” and mother's friend “father”. Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne! A few more minutes mom, please! Well, ok, I guess I’ll pass (I like WH40k though ^-^)Sorry for dat ugly language of mine, I guess I’ll be coming back to make a few edits here and there.. Review in progress. Good writing so far. I'd reccomend watching the anime first. At least the first season, as that was the one the creator wrote. If you're into cyberpunk neo-noir, it's probably gonna be one of your favorites. Then again, if you aren't, why are you even here?Update: Certain glitches, including the dissapearance of the cursor when reloading saves; restarting the game fixes. In the 2nd case, some (II) tips unlock before the (I) tips.. Well, I'll try to keep the review short. It was my first visual novel, but as a fan of the Psycho-Pass series, especially the characters from first season, Masaoka, Kagari... It was very pleasant to live another great story with these guys. Gonna do a second run sometime. It's an amazing experience. And you're better off playing this VN than watching season 2 anyways. This is game is a great psychological thriller with elements of drama, action, and mystery plus a strong interactive component where your choices are relevant and they matter. It's not hard to get the True ending which took me 7 hours. I loved the True ending route and I know there is plenty of replayability although I am already satisfied. The anime was great but this is awesome - definitely one of the best visual novels on Steam!. I tried to be patient with this one but I'm at the point where I'm actively dreading going back to it to try and complete everything so nah, we're done here. The biggest issue is that this is a game meant to be replayed, multiple times, but the skip function is... broken. It works sometimes but not really consistently? The best that I understand it is... it will always let you skip any text the path you took the first time through, but after that it will only temporarily store what can be skipped for subsequent playthroughs until the game is closed, after which poof it's like you never read anything else. I don't understand why or how it works this way. But it makes slogging through the game to see the alternate paths absolutely miserable.Especially because! The choices don't matter, really! No matter what you do, no matter what path you take, 90% of the story is identical every time. First scenario. Second scenario. Third scenario. Character scene based on your choices. Fourth scenario. Slightly different ending based on your choices. Nothing significant no matter what. There is one major twist and it's so bloody obvious they basically tell you it outright within the first hour of the game. Besides that, the only twists come from stuff that you'd get from watching the first season of the anime, which you probably should do instead of playing this. All other nitpicks are minor gripes and pretty irrelevant to the main issue here. It comes with a 2048 minigame for some reason. You know, that fad game from like, 2014. In a game released in 2017. The VA is only in japanese, despite the English translation. Ehh. It's an action anime, not a suspense or mystery anime, at its heart. There is no real mystery either because you literally see the villain's actions and plans while they're doing things. This is in line with the anime, sure, which eehhh is kind of a problem I have with the anime as well but it's more pronounced here because there is no tension. You're most likely to stumble on one of the least interesting endings first because the route to any of the more satisfying endings is locked behind convoluted choices. It takes about a dozen playthroughs across all character to see all the character scenes and endings. With basically nothing else changing in the meantime. The character scenes don't really add much to the game and any characters besides the ones introduced in this game + Gino are pretty much out of focus the whole time. I will say, the first time through, the plot's kinda interesting I guess? But it doesn't really change much regardless of which character you pick. It doesn't really matter, it's just a lazy way to arbitrarily doublt the game's length. Oh and all the character portraits are completely static. Only the faces ever change. It's barely even a VN at that point. This really shouldn't have been a VN, honestly. It doesn't work as one.So uhh yeah there's just not a lot I really liked about this and it only grew worse with replays. Skip it. Plenty of great VNs on steam, this ain't one of them.. If you're a fan of the anime this is a MUST buy.
